Buffalo native, broadcaster and longtime journalist, Steve Cichon is joining WECK-AM/FM (AM 1230/FM 102.9) as News Director. He will anchor news , and co-host with Tom Donahue and Gail Ann Huber on WECK’s weekday morning show.
Cichon began his career at WBEN in 1993, where he spent five years. He later worked at WIVB/WNLO (TV) and at WNSA/Empire Sports Network, before returning to WBEN as News Director in 2003. He left WBEN in 2013 to devote time to his role as Storyteller & CEO of Buffalo Stories, LLC., work at WNED/WBFO as a producer, serve as an Adjunct Professor at Medaille College and write history articles for The Buffalo News.
