77 WABC Radio night talk show host John Batchelor has accepted an invitation from the State of Qatar to broadcast from Doha this week. During the 9 p.m.-1 a.m. ET broadcast, airing across the U.S. from flagship radio station 77 WABC New York, Batchelor is scheduled to speak with high Qatar government officials on regional politics, trends in international trade, and more. Batchelor will also talk with area ministers, corporate leaders, academics, journalists, students, and artists, as well as discussing the preparations for the 2022 World Cup taking place in Qatar.
Craig Schwalb, WABC Program Director, said, “Batchelor leads the international conversation in talk radio, so it only makes sense that he places focus on Qatar, and the entire Persian Gulf region, during his show this week.”
I’ll bet everything I have he doesn’t ask one question about Qatar’s dreadful human rights record. Just another exercise in mutual marketing.
