WQUD 105.5 Vintage Radio/Erie, IL, has hit one out of the park with their Slick Willy’s Second Annual Stuff for the Troops Drive. The Oldies station collected over 1,400 pounds of sundry items for U.S. troops serving overseas. Last year, Vintage Radio collected 800 pounds of items, such as toiletries, beef jerky, batteries, snacks, and magazines, and was able to make hundreds of troops’ Christmas away from a home a little merrier. The packages were shipped via the United States Postal Service and military transport to troops stationed in Afghanistan and Iraq.
