
Townsquare Media Jersey Shore heritage radio brands 94.3 The Point (WJLK), 92.7 WOBM, 105.7 The Hawk (WCHR), and Beach Radio 1160/1310 (WOBM-AM) have been busy during Q4 2017 with a variety of cause-marketing initiatives, helping raise more than $200,000 for local causes. This includes local food and toy drives, fundraising walks, and radiothons.
Some of the highlights include:
WCHR/105.7 The Hawk’s annual Ocean of Love Radiothon – $145,220 raised for Ocean of Love, a Toms River, NJ based organization that helps local children with cancer and their families.
WJLK/94.3 The Point’s annual Giving Tuesday Radiothon – $39,543 raised for Vet Tix and NJ Run For The Fallen.
WJLK/94.3 The Point’s Pointsettia Toy Drive – $6,000 in iPlay America gift cards and close to 10 huge bags of unwrapped toys were collected during the all-day live broadcast at iPlay America in Freehold, NJ on Saturday, December 2, 2017 to benefit the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation.
92.7 WOBM Making Miracles Radiothon – $20,589 was raised during the 26-hour radiothon, from Wednesday, December 6 until Thursday, December 7, 2017, for Children’s Specialized Hospital, Toms River, NJ – a Children’s Miracle Network hospital.
