WKYS 93.9 FM has a new night show host: Khalia “Little Bacon Bear” Canty. Effective Monday, November 16, Little Bacon Bear will bring a new sound and style weeknights from 7:00 p.m. to midnight, and weekends from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with features that include her Bacon Challenge, KYS Verses, Man Crush Monday, and Woman Crush Wednesday. Originally hailing from Topeka, Kansas, Canty began her DJ career after moving to Maryland in 2012. Since then, she’s become one of the DMV’s most coveted young DJs and wants to use her platform to promote the continued significance of terrestrial radio in the eyes of artists, DJs, and listeners, while being an example of a successful woman in media.
