iHeartMedia announced today that James Howard has been named VP of Programming for Washington, DC, a newly created position. He’ll also program DC101 and BIG100, reporting to Jeff Kapugi, Senior VP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Washington, DC Region. iHeartMedia Washington, DC, includes HOT 99.5, 97.1 WASH-FM, DC101, 98.7 WMZQ, BIG 100, and 104.7.
Howard began his radio career with iHeartMedia in 2001 and since then has held programming positions in Orlando, Albany, Atlanta, and Tampa. He joined the Washington, DC/Baltimore market in 2010, and most recently programmed WWDC and WBIG.
