Total Traffic & Weather Network has hired broadcasting and traffic veteran Jim Battagliese as Regional Director of Operations for the New York market. Battagliese joins TTWN from Hubbard Radio’s WTOP in Washington, DC where he served as Director of Traffic and Weather Operations since 2010.
Battagliese will be responsible for delivering content development and traffic operations for the region’s more than 125 broadcast television and radio affiliates, including the New York City, Nassau/Long Island, Hartford/New Haven, Hudson Valley, and Northern New Jersey media markets.
At WTOP, Battagliese established a dedicated staff and built out a stand-alone traffic nerve center servicing commuters in the nation’s capital. Prior to joining WTOP, Battagliese managed the Traffic Center for XM Satellite Radio prior to its merger with Sirius. He also held senior leadership positions at both Traffic.com and Shadow Broadcast Services, serving as Vice President of Operations.
