That according to Bob Raissman of The New York Daily News. There had been speculation that Francesa might stay in his afternoon drive shift, at least for awhile, after the arrest of Craig Carton. Francesa’s contract expires on December 15 and he’s repeatedly said he’s leaving the station. Tuesday afternoon Francesa said, “The station is comfortable with that (decision) and I am, too.” Raissman reported that CBS did offer Francesa a one-year deal to stay past Dec. 15.
