Slacker Sells For $50 Million

The streaming music service is being purchased by the live music network LiveXLive Media in a deal worth $50 million in cash and stock. LiveXLive says it plans to use Slacker Radio’s music service to complement its existing video programming. Slacker and LiveXLive will combine content programming teams to build a network of both audio and video channels that stretch across mobile, TV apps, and in-car infotainment systems.
