Boomer: Carton Quitting Was a Good Move

WFAN’s Boomer Esiason addressed the resignation of his now former partner Craig Carton as soon as he opened up his show Thursday. He said it’s a good thing for Craig, that he now needs to focus on his family. “He needs to get his life in order. It takes a lot of pressure off us here at WFAN.”

Esiason went on to say that the chapter of Boomer and Carton at WFAN is closed and that everything related to Carton has already been scrubbed from the studio. “It’s sad day. It’s the end of Boomer & carton. I still believe he’s one of the greatest radio personalities we have ever seen.” Esiason said he wouldn’t be surprised if, someday, Carton was behind a radio microphone again. Carton was arrested on charges of bilking investors of millions of dollars in a ticket selling ponzi scheme. Authorities accuse Carton of using some of the money to pay off millions in gambling debts. Carton says he is innocent and plans to fight the charges.
