According to the ABC-TV affiliate WGOW-FM morning show co-host Jim Reynolds has been charged with aggravated assault and aggravated child abuse. A police affidavit states Reynolds, his wife and daughter got into an altercation over the daughter’s phone use.
A fight allegedly broke out and his wife told police Reynolds grabbed his daughter and pushed her. The daughter told police he grabbed her by the neck and pinched her nose closed. Police say Reynolds denied grabbing or choking his daughter, but admitted escorting her to her room and pushing her onto her bed.
After being cuffed, the officer reported Reynolds saying, “You have no idea what you’ve done. You’ve ruined my life and my reputation.” As of Thursday afternoon, Reynolds was still listed as co-host of The Morning Press on the radio station’s website.
Cumulus tells Radio Ink Reynolds is off the air. “Beyond that, the company does not comment on employee matters.”
