The Western Kentucky University campus will be welcoming students today from Valparaiso University and Middle Tennessee State University as well as WKU to the fifth annual KBA WKU Radio Talent Institute.

Students will learn from radio pros from all areas of the broadcast industry, including on-air, music radio, sports and news, production, promotions, digital/social media, and engineering and all students become certified by the RAB as Radio Marketing Professionals.

Ed Henson of Henson Media, Louisville, handles the opening session with these future broadcasters who have a passion and desire for a career in broadcasting. Ten intense days later and following over 35 broadcast professionals teaching sessions, Bud Walters, President, Cromwell Radio Group, Nashville, does the closing session, with Henry Lackey, President of KBA, doing the closing comments. The Kentucky Broadcasters Association underwrites the KBA WKU Radio Talent Institute.

The KBA WKU Radio Talent Institute begins today as the 6th of 7 Radio Talent Institutes this summer.
