88Nine Toasting Its 10th With Its Own Pale Ale

0

Non-commercial Radio Milwaukee is celebrating its 10th anniversary and it’s doing it with its own beer. Lakefront Brewery has partnered with Radio Milwaukee to brew 88Nine Amplified Pale Ale, available now on draft at dozens of area taverns, restaurants, and stores, while stocks last. The release also coincides with Lakefront Brewery’s 30th birthday, which it will be celebrating later this year. The ale’s flavor is extremely “citrus forward” with just a touch of light caramel malt, giving way to a mild, hoppy finish.

“This new partnership is exciting as Lakefront Brewery is a staple in Milwaukee and has such a down-to-earth, independent and local vibe, similar to Radio Milwaukee,” 88Nine Marketing Director Alyssa Feuerer said. “We’re grateful for Lakefront’s support and can’t wait to share our beer with our fans and listeners.”

The non-profit, non-commercial station launched on Feb. 26, 2007. It has become known for its unique mix of new and Milwaukee music, its Community Stories features, and community engagement. Official public release parties for Amplified Pale Ale take place Sunday July 23, from 5 p.m.–7 p.m. at Regano’s Roman Coin, 1004 E. Brady St., and 9 p.m.–midnight at The Nomad, 1401 E. Brady St.
