House Is Back…Sort Of

iHeartMedia in Nashville announced on Monday that radio legend Gerry House will be back on the air as the official voice talent for “The BIG Legend 98.3” (WSIX-HD2). Starting Friday, House will be heard several times per morning in the 7 a.m. hour. After a 30-year career, House signed off back in 2010. He’ll be joined on WSIX by his “long-time male companion” Mike Bohan.

House said, “The truth is, the good times, the spirit and the hits we played back when the House Foundation morning show was on the air, will be on The BIG Legend at 98.3. While this won’t be a full-time show, all the laughs we had will be heard once again. Fun never gets old, and as always I blame Mike Bohan.”

“No, Gerry is not coming back to do a full show, but Gerry back on the radio, in any form, is can’t-miss radio,” said Gator Harrison, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Nashville. “In addition to classic House Foundation moments in morning drive, Gerry will be The BIG Legend at 98.3’s voice. Think of it as on-air Twitter. He thinks it, he says it, and we all laugh. The BIG Legend is all about reliving the moments and the music, but it just wouldn’t be complete without Gerry House”.
