The company has hired Mike Dee under the title of President of Entercom Sports. As Entercom integrates the CBS properties it will significantly increase the number of sports stations it has as well as the play-by-play activity. Entercom was already a big believer in local sports talk and play-by-play.
Dee most recently served as President and CEO for the San Diego Padres. Dee also served as President and CEO of the Miami Dolphins and Sun Life Stadium, and before that he was Chief Operating Officer of the Boston Red Sox.
Dee will be responsible for Entercom’s sports business with a focus on revenue development from national sales and marketing programs, new platform opportunities, key partnerships, expanded sports distribution, direct-to-consumer offerings, and other entrepreneurial initiatives at the national level.
