Emmis To Reduce Power On Indy Station

It will be a temporary reduction in power on (translator) 93.5-FM so Emmis can work with the FCC “to eliminate potential interference issues.” You’ve been reading about how Woof Boom Radio President J Chapman has a station that he says is being interfered with by this Emmis signal. This reduction is to help deal with that situation.

Emmis also announced it will add its sports format to 107.5 in the Indy market. “The Fan” has been broadcasting on both 93.5 and 1070-AM and will continue to do so. Emmis says adding The Fan’s programming to include 107.5 FM “will greatly increase The Fan’s FM-band coverage in and around Indianapolis.”

Chapman told Radio Ink Monday that he appreciates that Emmis will be working with the commission to eliminate the interference.
