Facebook Gives Advertisers Guarantees

This guarantee relates to those ads that come up on your feed with video. Advertisers will now be able to buy ads with the option to only pay when videos play with the sound on, according to Advertising Age.

Last month, Procter & Gamble’s CEO Marc Pritchard said his company was longer going to give digital platforms a pass on a “crappy media supply chain.” Facebook is also offering advertisers the ability to buy video ads according to MRC criteria, which include two-second views where the video is at least 50% on the screen.

Advertisers can now also buy completed views only, paying for the ad only when someone gets to the end of the video. Advertisers had been able to buy “completed” video views before, but only up to 10 seconds. Facebook is also saying it will start delivering better reports to advertisers, telling advertisers exactly how long someone watched a video and how many people.
