Gospel Diva Connie Denell Calls It A Day

Nashville’s 92Q – WQQK calls her their Gospel Diva, and after more than 30 years with the station Connie Denell has decided to retire at the end of 2017. Denell has been with the station since 1983 and hosting her Gospel Diva program since 1987. She has won numerous awards, including a Stella Award and NAACP Award.

“We’ve been blessed to have Connie Denell as part of the lineup at 92Q – WQQK for over three decades.” Says Kenny Smoov, Program Director of 92Q – WQQK. “It’s been amazing to watch Connie’s commitment to the Nashville community. Stay tuned for details about events to honor Connie Denell before she says goodbye on air on 92Q.”

“When I first started this show, I brought flowers to every church in this city,” says Denell. “We’ve been here for over three decades helping those in need in Nashville each week. I take your friendship and that of Cumulus Nashville as a blessing each week. I look forward to seeing you throughout the year at 92Q Events.”
