The second annual BMI Founders Award for Radio Broadcasting scholarship competition closes February 1, 2017, 11:59 p.m. EST. The awards are open to broadcasting students nationwide, with applicants evaluated based on their essay response, letter of recommendation, and academic record. Applicants must also be current students at accredited U.S. colleges or universities, between the ages of 17 and 24 at the time of entry, and degree candidates in Broadcast Communications or related majors. There is also an award up to $5,000 for the best original essay response entry.
The awards were stablished in 2015 to provide a competitive source for music licensing and an open-door policy to songwriters, composers, and publishers of all genres of music.
