President Renominates Rosenworcel To FCC

Her term expired in July of 2016 and her renomination for a second 5-year term never made it to a Congressional vote last year. On Wednesday, President Obama gave it another try by renominating Democrat Jessica Rosenworcel. It was part of package of last-minute nominations the outgoing President sent to the Senate. It’s pretty much guaranteed to fail again with the Republicans in charge of everything. Outgoing FCC Chairman Wheeler said he hoped Congress “will act quickly to confirm her nomination.” Congress and quickly rarely go together in the same sentence.
