CBS Philadelphia debuted WZMP-FM as Today’s 96.5 Thursday morning. The Adult Contemporary station is promising limited commercial interruptions. WZMP was one of two stations CBS Radio picked up in the 2014 swap with Beasley. Back then, CBS flipped the station from rhythmic CHR “Wired 96.5” to its CHR “Amp.”

Artists in the new AC format include Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Maroon 5, P!NK, and Taylor Swift.

CBS Philadelphia Market Manager David Yadgaroff said, “We are excited to debut Today’s 96.5 with a mix of music that will engage our audience on-air, online, and onsite at concerts and local events. Today’s 96.5 will bring fun and upbeat programming to Philadelphia radio. We will also offer the local and national advertising market unique sponsorship opportunities across all of our platforms.”
