Christmas was a lot more joyful for many Salina, KS, kids thanks to KSAL-AM and Y93.7. The Alpha Media stations collected hundreds of toys through on-air donations, and several community toy drives at Target, November 28 through December 13, to benefit the Saint Francis Community Services “Christmas for Kids” campaign.

Alpha Media, Salina Market Manager Bob Protzman said, “Our goal is to make sure that all children have joy brought into their lives during the Christmas season. Helping St. Francis bring that joy to children who otherwise may not have anything under their tree on Christmas Eve is the entire reason for our partnership.  We are so grateful for the outpouring of love from our Alpha Media listeners and family in central Kansas.  It is a small thing we do to bring a little Santa Claus’to our children.”

“We are so thankful for Alpha Media in orchestrating the events to raise awareness and collect toys and clothes for the children of Saint Francis,” said Vickee Spicer, Saint Francis Community Services Director of Marketing. “This year, they made sure Christmas wishes come true for 70 individual children in our care, with an abundance of additional gifts to help meet the needs of the additional 700 kids served by Saint Francis in Salina and surrounding communities.”
