Myrtle Beach station WAVE 104.1 (WYAV) held their Marathon for Meals, November 12-18, in support of the Myrtle Beach-based Helping Hand and Community Kitchen organizations. The result? A massive 13,000 pounds of food donations collected. WAVE personalities Tommy and Korby, from the T&A Morning Show, Prez, Scott Mann, and Rick Roberts broadcasted live from Bi-Lo locations, including Myrtle Beach, Socastee, and Surfside.
Alpha Media Myrtle Beach Market Manager Josh Gertzog said, “Once again, WAVE 104.1 and Alpha Media have shown why we are ‘live and local.’ Each year we raise more and more food for the needy, and I could not be more proud to work with people so committed to the greater Myrtle Beach community.”
