In her new role with the NPR member station, Stephanie Colombini will produce Florida Matters, WUSF’s public affairs show, and contribute to state and local news coverage as part of the Health News Florida team. A New York native, Colombini was previously a reporter for CBS Radio’s flagship station, WCBS Newsradio 880 in Manhattan. She graduated from Fordham University, where she began her career in radio, working as a reporter and anchor at the NPR member station WFUV, and helped launch the news department’s first podcast series, Issues Tank.

“Stephanie will be a wonderful addition to our news team,” said WUSF Public Media General Manager JoAnn Urofsky. “She has a wide variety of skills, and I know she will play a major role in enhancing Florida Matters and many other WUSF programs. We are fortunate to have her here.”

“It’s a real honor to join such an esteemed group of journalists,” Colombini said. “I am excited to start covering news in the Sunshine State.”
