He’s done it every year for 15 years, and to date he’s raised $210K. Bold Gold Media Group’s “Michael G. Stanton Shower for Charity” raises funds for Wayne County Children’s Christmas Bureau (WCCCB). On December 10, after weathering the 26-degree temperatures for more than three hours, Michael G. hit his annual goal of $20,000. Wearing only his Christmas-themed boxer shorts, and standing in a claw tub on Main Street in Honesdale, PA, the bold and crazy Michael G. refused to exit the shower until he achieved this year’s goal. The “Shower” has become a local tradition for Bold Gold Media in the Pocono Lake Region.
“This community is so generous,” said Michael G., the Bold Gold Market Manager and General Manager, as well as on-air personality for Classic Hits 105.3. “This is a fun and memorable way for us to continue to keep an awareness on an important cause…I am so thankful to all of our listeners, sponsors, my team, and everyone who came out to donate. Together, we did it!”
