New Hampshire morning show Greg & The Morning Buzz raised over $150,000 during its 26th annual Lend A Helping Can fundraiser. The funds will benefit 11 New Hampshire organizations that combat local hunger. The radiothon, held November 17 and 18, aired from 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. Auction items this year included a VIP trip to the set of Dancing with the Stars, autographed guitars from rock bands and singers, sports memorabilia, restaurant certificates, and concert tickets. Dancing With the Stars’ Tom Bergeron, comedian Larry the Cable Guy, and artists Peter Frampton and Sully Erna of Godsmack shared stories to lend their support.

Market President Joe Graham was thrilled but not surprised. “Every year, we start with no stated goal — other than to help alleviate hunger in New Hampshire. Once The Buzz hits the air, the phones and the Web heat up and we grow the dollars every year. This is the biggest total we have ever had and is testament that radio makes a huge difference in our communities. I couldn’t be prouder of our team.”
