“Bert Show” Sends Thank You Notes To Troops Abroad

Nationally syndicated program The Bert Show has had great success with its “Big Thank You” campaign, reaching its goal of providing every service person deployed outside the U.S. with a handwritten “Thank You” letter on Thanksgiving Day. Just days after Veterans Day, the U.S. Postal Service picked up thousands of the letters received from around the nation and beyond. Since its inception, the “Big Thank You” campaign has collected more than one million handwritten letters.

“I would really like to thank every single person who participated in this year’s ‘Big Thank You’ campaign,” said Bert Weiss, host of The Bert Show. “We know it must be hard to be away from friends and family during the holidays, but we hope these handwritten letters from home really brighten their days and show them just how grateful we are for their service.”
