Buzz Knight, the longtime SVP/program development for Greater Media, will be joining Beasley as VP/programming on the close of Beasley’s purchase of Greater Media. He takes over from Justin Chase, who, as reported earlier, has been promoted to EVP/programming for Beasley Media Group. Chase called Knight “incredibly strategic and well suited for the Beasley company culture.”
Knight has been with Greater Media since 2002 and in his current role oversees content and brand strategies for the company. He said, “I’ve long admired the great leadership of Justin Chase in his role with Beasley and I look forward to being a part of the Beasley team. I am honored to follow Justin into this position, and I’m incredibly excited to begin a new chapter with Beasley Broadcast Group as the company expands their portfolio of stations with the Greater Media acquisition.”
Chase added, “Buzz has been in the leadership role at some of the country’s most successful and respected brands in radio, and I’m delighted that Beasley will have the benefit of his experience and talent.”
Along with his role at Greater Media, Knight serves on the Nielsen Audio Advisory Council, thee NAB’s COLRAM, and the Council for Radio Excellence, where he is chairman of the Audio Committee.
