Rock Awards Set For November 11 In Japan

For the first time, the event is open to the ticket-buying public. It’s being held at the 10,000-seat Ryōgoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan, on Friday, November 11th. Those confirmed to attend and perform in include Jeff Beck, recipient of this year’s Living Legend of Rock Award, Joe Walsh, Cheap Trick, Richie Sambora (of Bon Jovi), Kirk Hammett (of Metallica) Joe Elliott and Phil Collen (of Def Leppard) and Orianthi.

KMG will offer exclusive radio programming, including pre-event vignettes, on-site live red carpet coverage, and a two-hour post-show with interviews and performances featuring nominees, presenters, and winners. The programming wll be hosted by UK radio host and KMG talent Nicky Horn. In addition, KMG will provide digital content, including text, audio, and video before, during and after the Awards. As the exclusive network radio ad sales partner, AdLarge Media will deliver multi-platform sponsorships.

Fan voting for the awards runs during the month of October, and all U.S. Classic Rock stations are invited to post a voting button on their websites. Voting categories include Best Classic Rock Radio Station of the Year, in Large, Medium, and Small markets.
