Hubbard Radio Seattle has named Joe “Jeetz” Reder as Afternoon Drive Host at Rock 98.9 KVRQ. Jeetz spent over eight years working the airwaves for 99.9 KISW/Seattle, before moving to, wait for it, Anchorage, Alaska, where he as PD and on afternoon drive. He also had a stop in Sin City doing mornings at KXTE.
Dave Numme, Rock 98.9/KVRQ Program Director, says, “Jeetz is the perfect guy for Rock 98.9. He is from Seattle and is the ultimate 12th man. Jeetz will be breaking out in a big way for The New Rock 98.9.” Marc Kaye, VP and Market Manager, further comments, “Welcome home Jeetz, let’s rock this town!”
Jeetz says, “Obviously, to anyone who knows me, the chance to return to Seattle was an extremely attractive opportunity for me. Not only because it’s where I was born and raised, but the chance to do radio for the Seattle Rock listeners, who I consider some of the most passionate in the country, seemed like a great fit. To top it off, my meetings with Dave Numme and Marc Kaye at Hubbard blew me away!”
