West Virginia’s Bill Shahan Dies

MetroNews.com is reporting the passing of the veteran West Virginia broadcaster this week. Shahan died Thursday evening at the Hospice Unit of Thomas Memorial Hospital. He had battled esophageal cancer for nearly a year. He was 55. Shahan started his radio career when he was hired as an intern at Charleston radio station V-100 in the early 80s. Shahan had recently been inducted into the West Virginia Broadcasting Hall of Fame. The induction will now be conducted posthumously at the Hall of Fame in Huntington.
