Alpha Media stations Mix 94.1 WHBC-FM and News-Talk 1480 WHBC-AM, in Canton, OH teamed up with AultCare for the 9th Annual AultCare Wish-A-Thon. A healthy $158,673 was raised with all proceeds going to Wishes Can Happen Inc., a local charity that raises funds for children with life threatening illnesses. The stations broadcasted live for 36 hours from 6 a.m. August 11 to 6 p.m. August 12 from Springbrook Plaza. Even a wild storm couldn’t dampen enthusiasm.
Alpha Media Market Manager, Larry Gawthrop commented on the announcement, “While the storm took out some of our technical abilities it never dampened the spirit of the event or the resolve of our staff. What we were able to accomplish was a great example of teamwork at its best.”
