Hearst Raises $20K For Flood Victims

WBAL NewsRadio 1090 and 98 ROCK in Baltimore, with support from WBAL-TV and the Baltimore Ravens, raised close to $20,000 for victims of last weekend’s flood in Ellicott City, MD. Listeners donated cash and purchased t-shirts, with all proceeds being donated to floodCary Pahigian Shirt victims. Two people died when the town, 14 miles west of Baltimore, took on 6.5 inches of water Saturday night. Hundreds of cars were swept away, sidewalks were wrecked and storefronts damaged.
