Nielsen will once again rate the Newburgh-Middletown, NY, market, twice each year, starting with the Spring survey next month. The Newburgh metro includes Orange County, NY, and the TSA will also include Sullivan County. With a population of about 315,300 people, Newburgh, which has been measured before, comes in as market 154 among the 275+ markets measured by Nielsen. Townsquare will be a subscriber.
Townsquare Market President Jason Finkelberg said, “With the reopening of the Newburgh Metro, Nielsen is providing an additional resource for evaluating the region. In conjunction with the adjacent market of Poughkeepsie, our customers now have the tools needed to evaluate and isolate the region’s local media. New York’s northern suburbs are a diverse area with different listening patterns as you get farther from the city, we are thrilled that measurement now reflects this reality.”
Nielsen is also telling us that Sioux Falls, SD, was also added and will begin reporting in the Spring.
