The not-guilty verdict in the Edward Nero trial was a major focus of WBAL’s content Monday in both the station’s news and local talk shows. WBAL had a reporter at the courthouse and also downtown for immediate reaction.
The station was also taking a ton of calls getting listener reaction. WBAL PD Scott Masteller tells Radio Ink, due to the excellent coverage the station was providing the community, WBAL host C4 (pictured) appeared on Bill O’Reilly’s program Monday night on the Fox News Channel.
The Nero trial was one of six trials planned for police officers in Baltimore who were charged in the death of Freddie Gray.
