Greg Solk Out at Hubbard

COO Drew Horowitz confirmed to Radio Ink that the long-time programmer was out and said there was no statement about the change from the company. Horowitz did tell The Chicagoland Radio and Media Blog, this “was a senior management decision to initiate a corporate restructure that was the driver of the change.”

Solk was Senior VP of programming and operations. This past June, Hubbard hired former iHeartMedia and CBS programmer Greg Strassel, giving him the same duties as Solk. Back then Hubbard said Strassel would “work in partnership with Solk, to lead the programming, brand and content strategies for Hubbard Radio’s 28 radio stations in its seven largest markets.” Solk did not return our request for a comment on his firing.
