Trump Using More Radio

Media Monitors is reporting that Republican Presidential hopeful Donald Trump ran more radio spots last week, moving him into second place on their chart, behind Bernie Sanders. Media Monitors says as we get closer to the general election, democratic spot totals on radio are dropping while the Republican battle between Trump and Cruz continues. Here is a list of how many radio ads were run in the 82 major markets Media Monitors keeps an eye on.

Bernie Sanders campaign ran 1,920 spots in the last ten days, while the National Nurses United Patient Protection PAC added 33 spots bringing Sanders’ total to 1,953 spots. Moving into 2nd place for the first time was Donald Trump with 970 ads purchased by his campaign.

Ted Cruz is in 3rd place with 495 spots aired by his campaign, 254 spots bought by the PAC Trusted Leadership, while the Club For Growth Action Super PAC added 47 spots. Keep The Promise I ran 25 spots promoting Cruz, the National Right To Life Victory Fund aired 21 spots and finally, the RI Right To Life Federal PAC threw in 25 more spots bringing the Pro-Cruz total advertisements to 867 spots in the last ten days.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign ran 398 spots and the American Federation of Teachers Solidarity added 100 bringing Clinton’s total to 498 spots.
