Telos released a new product at the NAB Show, Monday. It’s a diagonostic-only version of Voltair, called the Voltair M monitor. The Voltair M Watermark Monitor includes all of Voltair’s diagnostic features, but does not affect the original audio in any way. We also spoke to Telos CEO Frank Foti at the NAB Show to get an update from him on how Votair is performing in the field since Nielsen released its enhanced CBET.
Frank Foti tells Radio Ink, “The industry tells us they’re seeing improvements in their ratings performance.” Speaking about Nielsen’s recently introduced enhanced CBET, Foti says it’s too early to tell if there’s improvement or not. “We’re keeping an eye on it. There is an affect on how the watermark behaves because of Voltair and also because of how the audio processing portion of the unit is set. There are stations that are tweaking the processing to maximize PPM performance.
