The January 2016 Triton Digital January ranker is out and it shows the month had 4.5 million active average sessions, which is slightly up from December, (M-F 6A-8P). When compared to January 2015, average active sessions grew 14% (M-F 6A-8P) and 11.3% (M-Sun 6A-Mid). Year-over-year, the Country format showed the largest listening gain with a 28.7% increase in AAS, followed by Classic Rock (22.2%), Top 40 (20.3%), Sports (19.8%), News/Talk (17.3%), and Hot AC (15.6%). Seattle showed the largest listening gain up 29.5%, followed by Tampa (26.9 %), San Diego (26.6%), Denver (23.2%), and Miami (22.7%).
