It’s one of those things that irritates employees at many companies. Cuts are being made, debt is piling up, executives are making millions, raises are not trickling down…and the bosses in the home office are flying around in a corporate jet.
While the $6.1 million from the sale will be used to pay down debt, the money used to keep the plane operational will be used to start a small merit increase pool. Berner said this is the first time something like this has been done in a decade and will help Cumulus keep its best employees.
