iHeartMedia’s WDVE-FM in Pittsburgh was awarded the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ 2015 English Radio Station of the Year Award at the organization’s Momentum16 Awards. The award recognizes radio stations that demonstrate an extraordinary commitment to their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Nominations were received from more than 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals nationwide, and were submitted by the hospitals’ pediatric patients.
In Pittsburgh, the patients’ submission showcased 102.5 WDVE’s dedication to the hospital through the DVE Rocks Children’s Radiothon, a broadcast fundraiser that has raised $3.5 million over the last eight years. The radiothon features … 3-Days of Live Broadcasts with Randy Baumann and the DVE Morning Show, Michele Michaels, and Sean McDowell. Local and national musicians perform, as well as appearances by current Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins Players.
