Live 365 Closing Down In Nine Days

2

The news was sent out to over 5,000 customers using the service, announcing the shutdown would be January 31. Live 365 had hinted earlier this year that the new royalty rates were the reason it might shut down. Here’s the message customers received this week…”We are sad that we are closing our doors at the end of this month. There are always possibilities that we can come back in one form or another, but at this point in time, January 31, 2016 is the last day that Live365’s streaming servers and website will be maintained and supported.” Live 365 has been around since 1999.

  1. Drats! Now to hear good dance music, I will have to settle for slacky terrestrial radio stations. I have not found a “decent,” much less a good CHR/D formatted station in years, beyond Live365. If “Q96 Nine” Toledo was still on, we may have had a shot. Darn Cornerstone Church for selling it to EMF. All the dance formats are too rappy or even too sappy. And WVKS is horrible and got rid of the barely “ok” HD2 “Evolution.”
