Hoping to pull in as large a share of the 2016 political ad revenue as possible, Adam Weiss has been hired as iHeartMedia’s new VP of Political Strategy. He’ll be based in Washington, D.C. and report to Senior Vice President, Political Sales and Strategy Kenny Day. Weiss will manage iHeartMedia’s relationships with progressive candidates, parties, Independent Expenditures, Super PACs and other political organizations. And he will help run the iHeartMedia Campaign “War Room,” which will track more than 1,000 national, statewide and local elections across more than 150 markets.

Weiss has over a decade of experience in political strategy, policy and public affairs. He most recently worked at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s Independent Expenditure program, where he managed a $16.8 million budget across 22 targeted Congressional districts and directed investments in radio, television and digital advertising during the 2014 election cycle. Prior to his work with the DCCC, Weiss served as a Candidate Coordinator for the AFL-CIO, where he worked on their Path to Power Program and provided strategic advice on electoral opportunities. His background also includes work on campaigns in Nevada, Iowa, Colorado, Maine, and California. Additionally, Weiss has held positions with the American Optometric Association, National Association of Letter Carriers and American Association of Justice.
