Cox Media Group Jacksonville has promoted Cody Black to Director of Branding and Programming for both Alternative WXXJ/X102-9 and Classic Hits WJGL/96.9 The Eagle. Black started at CMG Jacksonville as a part-timer in 2010.

Cox Media Group Atlanta’s 97.1 The River (WSRV-FM/Atlanta), is moving English Nick to middays. He shifts from his position as the weeknight host into the midday slot.

Longtime Milwaukee broadcaster Eric Von has died. Local reports say he died of a heart attack. Von worked in both radio and TV for more than 25 years. He could be heard in Milwaukee hosting mornings on Courier Communications' WNOV 860. More details at Milwaukee Public Radio WUWM.

Todd Johnson is an experienced radio and TV sales leader, and as of Monday he will be the new local sales manager for Scripps radio in Wichita. Johnson will be responsible for generating local business for KFDI-FM, T95 (KICT-FM), The Fox (KFXJ-FM), Radio Lobo (KYQQ-FM), and Classic Country 1070 (KFTI-AM).

Karen Vaughn moves from Indianapolis to Philadelphia within the Radio One family. As of September 19, she'll be the Operations Manager for WRNB-FM Old School, WPPZ-FM PRAISE, and WPHI-FM BOOM.

Cumulus lands Emmy Award-winning sportscaster and NBC NFL sideline reporter Michele Tafoya as co-host of the morning show on KQRS-FM in Minneapolis where she'll join longtime morning man Tom Barnard.

Rick Hendrick (pictured) is promoted to Operations Manager at Cumulus' six-station cluster in Montgomery. He'll hold on to his PD responsibilities at WXFX.

Ryan Gibbons joins Entercom's CHR KISS-FM in Milwaukee as on-air/producer for Riggs and Alley in Morning Drive. Gibbons comes from CBS Radio's KZOK-FM in Seattle where he was on-air/producer for the Danny Bonaduce Show.

Tennessee Titans’ tight end Delanie Walker will join the Midday 180 Team for a live one-hour show beginning Tuesday, September 13, 2016, from 1-2 p.m. CST. Walker joins broadcaster Chad Withrow, Jonathan Hutton, and Paul Kuharsky for the weekly Delanie Walker Show with a live studio audience in the 104.5 The Zone Music Performance Studio.

Tony Denton is the new Market Manager for Alpha's cluster in Greenville-New Bern-Jacksonville. For nine years Denton was D.O.S. in that market. He was most recently a Market Manager for Curtis.
