In Atlanta A New Morning Show Is Born
Country station Kicks 101.5 (WKHX-FM) debuted its new morning show, Caddy, CJ and Ali, Thursday. The hosts are Cadillac Jack, CJ, and Ali Mac. Mac formerly hosted middays on Kicks 101.5, while CJ moves to mornings from his previous Kicks 101.5 PM Drive show (3-7 p.m.).
Neil Chayet Retiring From WBZ
His signature tag line was “This is Neil Chayet – Looking at the Law.” This month will mark the retirement of Neil Chayet’s popular “Looking at the Law” radio feature after a nearly 42-year broadcast career on radio stations all across the country. WBZ NewsRadio in Boston and Chayet created more than 10,000 episodes of the daily radio feature.
Class Of 2017 Enters Country Radio Hall Of Fame
The ceremony was held by the Country Radio Broadcasters, Tuesday, at the Marriott Nashville. This year’s Country Radio Hall of Fame inductees in radio are Tim Closson, Charlie Ochs, and Mel Owens, and in the on-air category Joe Wade Formicola (posthumously), Linda Lee (posthumously), Jim Mantel, and The Good Morning Guys (Todd Harding, Susan Moore, Brian Gary).
Urban Leaders Meet P&G Execs
The meeting was arranged by Kizart Media Partners and included the National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters, who met with P&G executives at their Cincinnati headquarters. The initiatives discussed have not yet been announced publicly, however they included concerns from the African American community, according to Kizart.

Her name is Rosemary Harold and she will serve as Chief of the Enforcement Bureau. Harold is an attorney with considerable experience both within the agency and in private practice. She is also a former journalist. The Enforcement Bureau manages Commission work enforcing the Communications Act, FCC rules, and various licensing terms and conditions.
Hudson To GM Gallagher Show For Salem
The Mike Gallagher Show has brought in longtime Gallagher associate Joey Hudson as GM of the nationally syndicated Talk program. Hudson, who is the Executive Director of Gallagher's 501(c)3 non-profit foundation Gallagher's Army: Fallen Officer Fund, exits WGTK-WRTH/Greenville, SC , where he is GM, to take up the new position.
Arizona Broadcasters Name HOF Inductees
Five radio identities have been named by the Arizona Broadcasters Association in ABA's 28th Annual Hall of Fame class. The 2017 inductees, who were chosen based on their outstanding contributions to broadcast journalism, are Jan D’Atri, Bob Davies, Steve Goddard, Allen Kath, and Michael Owens.
Franklin To Talk It Up At KYKN
Longtime Salem, Oregon, radio host Warren Franklin has joined the News-Talk team at 1430 KYKN. Franklin will provide news and commentary as the AM drive host. He will also broadcast live from remote locations 15 times monthly.
Long On Magic
Rex Long will be the new PD and on-air talent for 98.9 Magic FM in Colorado Springs. Long joins Magic from Cumulus in Montgomery where he has been PD for the past seven years at WHHY-FM. He was also PD for KCDD-FM in Abilene. Long started his radio career in Dallas as on-air talent and producer at KISS-FM. He starts his new job Monday, June 26.
