Omelette & Coates For Breakfast In Traverse City

Steve “Omelette” Normandin and Rick Coates have joined Classic Rock The BEAR 98.1 & 97.7 FM in Traverse City, MI, as the station’s morning show. Omelette & Coates will air Monday through Friday from 5:30 to 10 a.m. The pair made their debut Saturday, September 9 at 9 a.m.

Boom! John Madden Is Back On The Radio

Collins And Scott Join ESPN New York 98.7FM

The station has drafted New York Giants safety Landon Collins and former New York Jets linebacker Bart Scott to help with NFL coverage for the coming season. Beginning Monday, September 11, Collins will join The Michael Kay Show (weekdays 3-7 p.m.) every Monday at 4:30 p.m. ET. Scott will be heard four times a week, as both a guest and as a co-host of New York’s Game Day.

Mix/Chicago Fires Kathy Hart

Hubbard Radio's WTMX (101.9 The Mix) is parting ways with Eric & Kathy co-host Kathy Hart, who abruptly vanished from the successful morning show back in April. On Thursday, Hubbard announced that Hart won't be back. Hubbard Chicago Market Manager Jeff England said, "We wish her all the best as she moves on to the next stage of her career."

WSOU Students Named Student Scholars

Four staff members of WSOU 89.5 FM, the student-run radio station of Seton Hall University, have been selected as National Association of Broadcasters Student Scholars. Each will receive a scholarship to attend the 2017 Radio Show (Sept. 5-8) in Austin, TX, where they will participate in special educational programming and networking events.
