iHeart Sports Host Dies
Tampa Bay’s Sports Radio WDAE is mourning the loss of Steve “The Big Dog” Duemig who passed away Thursday at the age of 65. Duemig was a Tampa Bay radio staple for nearly three decades at WFNS from 1991-1996 and WDAE from 1996 through his final show in February.

After two years as the Program Director and afternoon drive personality at heritage Top 40 99.7 DJX in Louisville, JD Garfield has resigned. His last day is May 31.
Meyer Returns To Entravision As CRO
Entravision has appointed Karl Alonso Meyer as Chief Revenue and Product Officer. Based in Los Angeles, Meyer will be responsible for leading Entravision’s sales and revenue strategy and initiatives.
Driver Who Killed SBS Host Gets 90 Days
The hit-and-run driver who killed popular SBS New York City host DJ Jinx Paul (pictured here) back in 2016 in Brooklyn was sentenced Wednesday to 90 days in jail, five years probation, and 100 hours of community service.
Malone Is Orlando Bound
Matthew Malone is the new PD for WQMP-FM/Orlando. Prior to joining Entercom, Malone served as APD and Music Director for KCJK-FM in Kansas City.
Longtime Pittsburgh Host Retiring
Sean McDowell will be hanging up the headphones on July 31st after forty-one years in radio and twenty six with WDVE. The rock station is owned by iHeartMedia in Pittsburgh. McDowell started his career with WYDD New Kensington.
Marketron Gets A New CEO
Marketron has hired Jim Howard as its new Chief Executive Officer. Howard replaces Micael Collins who held the position for a little more than a year. Howard was an operating partner for Diversis Capital, the private equity firm which acquired Marketron in 2018.
WORC Gives Three Broadcasters A Lift
Worcester, MA, is the scene of the three Cumulus promotions. Chuck Perks (pictured) is now Ops Manager, Keith Stephens moves up to PD, and Matt Henry moves up to Stephens’ previous position as Promotions Director for WXLO, WWFX, and WORC-FM.

Award-winning journalist Caitlyn Kim has been hired to lead Colorado Public Radio’s reporting efforts in Washington D.C. Kim’s position advances plans to expand CPR’s political coverage.
