Scholarship Established To Honor Oscar Leverette

The Georgia radio legend passed away on April 28, at age 68. He had served in various capacities at a string of stations in the Macon market for over 50 years. To continue his legacy of mentoring young radio people, his family has established a scholarship in his name.

Fleming Retiring After 59 Years In Radio

KWAX host Jack Fleming is calling it a day after nearly six decades in radio, the last 31 years with his current station. KVAL Channel 13 in Eugene, OR, is reporting that Fleming, 81, had worked in Connecticut and Los Angeles before moving to Eugene.

Cruze To Lead Programming For iHeart Kentucky-Indiana

iHeartMedia announced Friday that Jay Cruze has been named Director of Country Programming for the Kentucky-Indiana region as well as overseeing WAMZ-FM in Louisville, WBUL-FM in Lexington, and WUBG-FM in Indianapolis.

Herman Receives Leadership Award

AE's Kelwynn Napoleon and Rachel Adams are now LSMs for Cumulus in New Orleans where the company has four stations. Napoleon (pictured) joined Cumulus-New Orleans seven years ago as an AE. Adams joins Cumulus from Entercom-New Orleans, where she was the National Director of eCommerce and Digital Sales.
