Univision Hires Fails
Univision has named Dominic Fails senior vice president of Local Media Sales overseeing sales for all of radio. Fails first joined UCI in 2014 as VP and D.O.S. for Univision Chicago. Before joining UCI, he held sales management positions at Journal Broadcast Group, NBC Universal, and Viacom, among others.
Jordan Delivering The Hits To St. Louis
Z107.7, “St. Louis’ #1 Hit Music Station,” has announced the debut of St. Louis’ Most Hit Music in the Morning with Jordan, beginning Monday, December 11. The show will broadcast weekdays from 5-10 a.m. and will be hosted by local radio veteran Jordan.
Swart Heads West
Jack Swart has joined the team at River Radio (Max Media) in Cape Girardeau, MO, as GSM/DOS. He has left Community Broadcasters in Sumter and Orangeburg, SC. Swart is now also closer to family back in the Midwest. The River Radio group includes several legendary stations.
Entercom Has New Orlando Market Manager
Claudia Menegus has been promoted to Market Manager for Entercom in Orlando. Menegus will oversee WQMP FM, WOCL-FM, and WOMX-FM. Menegus previously served as VP/DOS for CBS Radio. She replaces Steve Carver.
Hartman To Run Chattanooga For Entercom
Nichole Hartman assumes the Market Manager role with Entercom Chattanooga, overseeing WKXJ-FM, WLND-FM, WRXR-FM, and WUSY-FM. Hartman previously served as GSM for Cox in Jacksonville. She was a GSM at Entercom Greenville from 2007-2013 prior to joining CMG.
Parr’s Extends With Urban One
One of Urban One's first syndicated radio personalities will continue to keep listeners UP TO PARR. Reach Media has locked in a multi-year agreement for The Russ Parr Morning Show. The show is heard in Washington DC, Atlanta, Cincinnati, and Fayetteville. Parr said, "I would do this job for free, but management insisted that they pay me so I relented.”
Dierks Bentley To Receive Humanitarian Award
The Country Radio Broadcasters have announced that the multi-platinum singer/songwriter (pictured) will receive the CRS 2018 Artist Humanitarian Award, presented by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. In addition, Dan Halyburton, owner of Falls Media Group, will receive the CRS 2018 Tom Rivers Humanitarian Award.
Chicago’s New 93.9 LITE FM And The Return Of Delilah
Delilah’s nationally syndicated show has returned to the Windy City station in the Monday through Friday, 7-11 p.m. ET timeslot. Often referred to as the “Oprah of Radio,” Delilah attracts millions of listeners on more than 150 radio stations nationwide, making her the most listened-to woman on radio in the U.S.
Cataldi Staying With WIP In Philly
Angelo Cataldi has renewed his contract as morning host at Entercom's SportsRadio 94WIP in Philadelphia. He's been hosting mornings on the station for 27 years and has been near the top of Radio Ink's Best Local Sports Talkers in America list since it was created six years ago. (Our 2017 list comes out December 18.)
