USA Radio Networks announced on Tuesday that Janet Bro has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Bro will lead the network and its stations in Chicago, Dallas, and Minneapolis, as well as five properties in Nevada. USA Radio Networks provides news and long-form talk programming 24/7 for nearly 500 affiliates. The company recently completed its corporate relocation from Phoenix to its flagship station, KBDT-AM in Dallas.
Bro began in radio/TV at Bradley University, has owned and operated three FM stations in Illinois, and managed others before embarking on a two-decade adventure with Verizon’s Yellow Pages. Bro had advanced to Regional Vice President of SuperMedia and had retired to Colorado when former USA CEO, Floyd Brown, hired her for the Senior VP Sales position in 2016. She assumed GM responsibilities of the networks last fall.
Current USA CEO Fred Weinberg said, “Our goal is to create news and programming that we and our affiliates can be proud of. We’re not Democrats or Republicans, we’re Americans, and that’s how we see the news. Janet is the perfect person to push this forward.”
